Who we are
Advanced Mineral Separations (“AMS”) is a nanotechnology company focused on extraction and detection of target substances at the molecular level. Our products provide significant advantages in cost and performance. These advantages are derived from application of our patented technologies in the highly specialized field of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). AMS has commercialized IXOS®, a line of extraction polymers for the gold mining industry and Affinity™ for the Cannabis Industry. The Company has also completed pre-productization development of an advanced virus detection technology (AMIPS™) which has been tested and confirmed 250 times more sensitive than existing immunoassay/rapid antigen tests with no false readings from a test battery of other respiratory viruses and bacteria.
Our systems provide the end-user with a more efficient and effective extraction system that yields a purer and cleaner end product. Our fully scalable systems replace antiquated and time-consuming traditional processes, resulting in:
Higher Yields
More Process Stability
Unlimited Scalability
Less Expensive
Faster Kinetics
Simple Operations
Higher Sensitivity and selectivity
Reduced Environmental Impact
Our systems are 100% company-developed and owned, and are patented or patent pending in 40+ countries worldwide.

Randy Johnson
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mr. Randy Johnson is the sole owner of Advanced Mineral Separations and has a diverse background in infrastructure, mining, manufacturing and other industrial operations. Mr. Johnson is also the President of Tyler Rental Inc., an Alaska-based enterprise with over 100 employees, which he founded as a start-up in 1989 and subsequently grew to a multi-state enterprise. Mr. Johnson formed Alaska Ship and Drydock (“ASD”) to operate the Ketchikan Shipyard under contract with the State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities in 1993. Working in conjunction with the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority (AIDEA), he guided an $80 million shipyard expansion project at ASD, including a new 2,500 ton dry-dock, upland ship berthing and an 80,000 square foot ship assembly hall and production support complex. He sold the company to Vigor Industrial in 2012, having grown it into a thriving enterprise with annual revenues of $35 million and up to 200 employees. In addition to Tyler and ASD, Mr. Johnson’s business operations and ownership experience includes such Southeast Alaska enterprises as Ty-Matt Construction and Ketchikan Ready Mix and Quarry. Mr. Johnson currently serves on the Board of Directors for Alaska Power and Telephone (AP&T) and has resided in Ketchikan, Alaska, for 40 years.
