Advanced Mineral Separations (“AMS”) is a nanotechnology company that uses patented Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPs) for detecting, capturing, and releasing substances at the molecular level.

Since every substance has a unique size, shape, and chemical property; MIPs are developed and deployed to capture and extract specifically targeted materials by templating or cloning the molecule within the polymer. This process provides a pocket in the polymer that matches the physical and chemical properties of the target molecule. Our systems results in more efficient and effective extraction that yields a high purity end-product or detection systems where minute amounts of the target must be captured in the presence of many other molecules.

AMS has developed fully scalable systems empowered by MIPS which will replace antiquated and time-consuming traditional processes that deliver process improvements, cost- savings and higher yields.

Current products are focused on precious metal mining (gold, silver, lithium), cannabis production, health & security with rapid virus detection and pathogenic amine detection.

Gold Mine

IXOS® | Gold Extraction

Our premier product is IXOS®, a line of extraction polymers formulated for deployment in the gold mining industry for the extraction of gold from a variety of leach solutions including cyanide, glycine/cyanide, and chloride.

IXOS® is designed to be more selective, more efficient, have higher capacity, lower power requirements, fewer consumables, and offer environmental benefits compared to current processing methods. These benefits all translate to lower Capital Expenditure and Operating Expense requirements.

AMIPs™ | Pathogen Detection

AMS has developed Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (MIPS) for the detection of viruses and bacteria (“AMIPs™"). While pioneered to detect SARS-COVID-19 the platform has been successfully demonstrated to detect respiratory pathogens but also those associated with food spoilage and other diseases. AMIPs™ are significantly more sensitive than immunoassay techniques and are not dependent on specific antigen/antibody relationships, making them more robust against rapid mutation of a pathogen.  AMIPs™ are amenable to multiple applications including direct testing of patients, air handling systems, water monitoring and others.

AFFINITY™ | Cannabinoid Purification

The Affinity™ line of MIPs was developed to provide a simplified process for the recovery and purification of cannabinoids from what the industry calls crude extracts.  The Affinity™ system is capable of taking crude extracts from virtually all extraction methods and yielding a highly purified full spectrum distillate without the use of heat or chemicals that could leave residuals or modify/damage the cannabinoids.  Methods were also developed to separate cannabinoids during the process to yield distillates compliant with THC free regulations.  Affinity™ eliminates multiple process steps and provides a continuous process with significantly lower CAPES and OPEX and higher yield than conventional purification, distillation, and chromatography.
